Missions of the organization: (1) to conserve a regional ecosystem and genetic sources of evergreen - deciduous forests, which exhibit the characteristics of transitional areas from Central Highland to Southeast Vietnam at altitudes lower than 1000m. (2) To protect upstream watersheds for three hydro power plants including the Thac Mo, Can Don, and Sork Phu Mien plants. (3)To build flexible infrastructure for biodiversity conservation, wildlife study, environmental education, and socio-economic development in the region. (4) To create green career opportunities for local communities. Objectives of the organization: To conserve the fauna and flora in Bu Gia Map National Park to ensure sustainability in the region. The organization was established on Nov 27, 2002 Geographical area: Bu Gia Map National Park is located in Bu Gia Map district, Binh Phuoc province (Vietnam). Its coordinates (latitude/longitudes): 12.2167/107.1500 Target species: Yellow-cheeked crested gibbon, black-shanked douc langur, sun bear, Asian black bear, pangolin, slow loris, Indo-china tiger, and Asian elephant. Habitats: Evergreen forests in low land and mountains, semi-evergreen forests
