Conservation Fusion is an international non-profit organization. Established in September 2010 as a 501c3 organization in the USA, our mission is Educating to Build and strengthen our World. We are engaging individuals and communities in education about the world's unique biodiversity, promoting knowledge and understanding while instilling ownership and ultimately responsible, sustainable actions as individuals become stewards to the environment on a local and global scale. A great deal of our current focus is on the island of Madagascar. In July 2011, we established an Accord De Siege with the government of Madagascar to become an official international NGO. Currently, we are working at four permanent sites in Madagascar that compliment the innovative research of our partners at the Madagascar Biodiversity Partnership (MBP). These four unique regions each harbor critically endangered lemurs and/or tortoises and flora at the brink of extinction. The sites are Sahafary, home to Northern Sportive Lemur, Lepilemur septentrionalis, Kianjavato, where nine species of lemurs reside, including Prolemur simus and Varecia variegata and the aye-aye, Daubentonia madagascariensis. Andasibe, which is the site of the re-introduced Propithecus diademed and Varecia variegata editorum and Lavavolo last stronghold of the critically endangered Radiated tortoise, Astrocheleys radiata.
