Ecology and conservation of two Magnolia species endemic from the Colombian Andes
The goals of this proposal were
To identify the reproductive strategies of two Magnolia tree species through the identification of effective pollinators and seed dispersers
To perform sexual reproduction of these species using different germination treatments including mycorrhizae
To reintroduce saplings of these species in forests of private and public natural reserves
To improve survival of reintroduced saplings through periodic assessment of their establishment and growth in the field
