Multiple approach to save critically endangered and endemic Etlingera doliiformis in Sulawesi
The main objective of this project is to save Elingera doliiformis from extinction because it is now in the critically endangered category. 1. In situ approach aims to conduct an assessment of the number and trends of population, vegetation and ecosystem conditions in Mt. Bawakaraeng 2. Ex Situ conservation approach aims to increase the number of Etlingera doliiformis population, improve conservation management and make it grow in at least one protected area. 3. Education approach aims to increase public awareness in protecting the ecosystem in Mt. Bawakaraeng.
