Assessment of the conservation status of endangered fungus Flaviporus citrinellus in Lithuania
The main objective of this project: (1) to collect all available information on new potential Flaviporus citrinellus sites (2) train ecologists of protected areas to identify Flaviporus citrinellus and spruce associated species (3) to monitor selected sites for the presence of Flaviporus citrinellus sporocarps and other associated endangered fungal species (4) identify the main characteristics of the typical habitats of these species and gain insight into factors that may affect the presence of fruit bodies (5) to assess the risk of threat according to IUCN criteria in connection with the planned revision of endangered Lithuanian species (6) raise awareness among citizen scientists about the recognition and monitoring of Flaviporus citrinellus
