Neesiochloa barbata (Poaceae: Chloridoideae): a monotypic and endemic genus from the largest seasonally dry forest in the Neotropics
The mains objective is quantify and map N. barbata populations, analyze their genetic diversity, and identify new areas of occurrence and threats.
Other objetictive are:
1) Model the potential distribution of N. barbata based on georeferenced and bioclimatic data to locate unknown populations
2) Conduct comprehensive expeditions in the Caatinga to quantify population size and distribution
3) Analyze the genetic diversity and population structure of N. barbata
4) Evaluate the conservation status of N. barbata following IUCN criteria
