The proposal of this project is to intensify the presence of araucarias within the indigenous land Ibirama Laklãnõ of the Laklãnõ-Xokleng people. It is proposed to mobilize part of the population of indigenous land in the construction of natural nurseries that allow the planting of araucaria seedlings. It is expected that after carrying out a series of plantations the activity will be intensified and reproduced by other groups, for the symbolic, food and cultural value that the araucaria has for the Laklãnõ-Xokleng people. Side effects such as the return of the appearance of some animals that were frequent in our territory, such as the Gralha Azul (Blue Crow, Cyanocorax caeruleus), the Veado-Mateiro-Pequeno (Red Deer, Mazama bororo), among others, for the areas of existence of the pines are also expected. In addition to reestablishing the ecological balance of this ecosystem, the main traditional food of an indigenous population will be recovered.
