Participatory monitoring for the conservation of the Huemul Deer (Hippocamelus bisulcus) in Southern Chile
1. Research and monitoring: Study and update the distribution, population, and habitat of the Huemul Deer in Northern Patagonia.
2. Habitat conservation: Identify and protect key areas to strengthen conservation strategies for the Huemul.
3. Community engagement: Educate and empower local communities in camera trap monitoring to support Huemul conservation.
4. Stakeholder collaboration: Collaborate with NGOs and authorities to develop effective conservation strategies for the Huemul.
5. Dissemination strategy: Create a communication plan to raise awareness and share knowledge about Huemul conservation with the local community and the public.
