Yuanbaoshan fir

The entire global population of the Critically Endangered Yuanbaoshan fir is found in the Yuanbaoshan National Nature Reserve, China. At this site, just 794 individuals can be found within the space of 4 hectares. Fauna & Flora International is working to empower local communities to conserve this last remaining population.

Artocarpus annulatus

This project focuses on the IUCN assessment and conservation of Artocarpus annulatus, an endemic tree species in Sarawak, Malaysia. It is the only truly wild member of the lineage containing two crop species (jackfruit and cempedak). There are very few collections of A. annulatus, and no IUCN assessment exists. Based on existing data, it could be classified as critically endangered and more data are needed.

Alfiler

Preserving Acacia belairioides, a critically endangered endemic tree from serpentines in north-eastern Cuba. This species is considered critically endangered. Potential causes of the threatened status of the species are fragmentation and loss of habitat, which led to the disappearance of a subpopulation. This project will contribute to the enrichment of natural populations and provide updated conservation status.

This project focuses on the ecology and distribution of Sinhalestes orientalis and is aimed at establishing baseline information for the conservation of the species and to increase the awareness regarding the species and its habitat.
