Distribution and conservation status of critically endangered Aloe ghibensis in Ghibe Gorge, Ethiopia

The overall objectives of the project will be to assess the distribution and conservation status of critically endangered Aloe ghibensis in Ghibe Gorge, Ethiopia: To adress the main objectives, the following specific objectives are engaged. 1. To determine the current distribution and population size and trends of Aloe ghibensis in the Ghibe Gorge. 2. To assess the threats and factors contributing to the decline of Aloe ghibensis populations. 3. To develop and implement conservation strategies and management plans to protect and restore the habitat of Aloe ghibensis. 4. To raise awareness about the importance of conserving Aloe ghibensis and its unique habitat among local stakeholders, government agencies, and the general public.
