In the third and final round of funding for 2017, the MBZ Fund donated another $500,000 to species conservation projects globally. This installment brings the total amount donated in 2017 to $1,507,820. Honolulu, Hawaii: On the eve of the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Honolulu Hawaii, the Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund approved the distribution of $500,000 to 50 species conservation projects across the world. Our Advisory Board will be meeting to review grant applications. The applications under consideration were submitted to the Fund before the midnight GMT 30 June 2013 deadline.
During the review meeting, the board will evaluate 500+ grant applications. This set of grant applications was larger than any previous set of applications. The applications are seeking a combined total of about $5m.
