The project: Conservation of endemic Carrizal Seedeater (Amaurospiza carrizalensis) at Lower Caroni River, Venezuela, aims to evaluate this poorly known bird species, which have just few report in its suitable habitat, in order to update its IUCN Red List of Threatened Species status. For this, we have the support of Universidad Nacional Experimental de Guayana (UNEG), Corporación Eléctrica Nacional -Bolívar (CORPOELEC), and MBZCF.

This project aims to protect the breeding grounds of the Townsend´s Shearwater and to reduce the impact of mortality factors affecting breeding birds and their offspring on Socorro Island. In this particular component we will change street lights on Socorro Island to minimize casualties associated to light attraction.

The Ringed Storm Petrel Project has been carrying rescue and release actions of these pelagic birds that were grounded in different urban places of the Peruvian coast. This is a data deficient species, its breeding sites are unknown; that is why we also have been working with the collect information of morphological and landing data.

Safe nesting sites are a limiting factor for This proTasman parakeets. Introduced crimson rosellas and starlings compete aggressively for these, while introduced rats and cats prey on eggs, chicks and nesting females at vulnerable nests. Using motion-sensitive cameras on modified nests, this project closely monitor breeding activities of parakeets to guide intervention. Since the onset of this project, the number of successful nests has doubled.

The endemic Ecuadorian Tapaculo is heavily threatened by loss and fragmentation of its habitat, the pre-montane cloud forests of southwestern Ecuador. In our project, we combine results from landscape genetics analyses and habitat assessments to restore functional connectivity for the remaining populations of the Ecuadorian Tapaculo.

The project is also engaging communities to bring pride to the local people for housing this unique species.

Creating a 30,000Sq km safe zone Surrounding Ahmedabad City in Central Gujarat,India through intensive monitoring, awareness and advocacy with government officials. This will safeguard a population of approximately 200 critically endangered Gyps benganlensis resident of this area and also generate a model for in-situ vulture conservation which can be implemented across the country.

The Island of Sao Tome, in the Gulf of Guinea, supports 3 bird species that face a high risk of extinction. They can't be found anywhere else in the world save the High Conservation Value Forests in the south of the island. This project aims to guarantee the long-term survival of the 3 birds; the Dwarf Olive Ibis, Sao Tome Fiscal and Sao Tome Grosbeak.
