projects for all species types with all IUCN classifications throughout the world.

Rana arborícola del Socopó
We want to improve occurrence probability estimates, and evaluate habitat conditions of Dendropsophus amicorum, an endemic and data deficient amphibian species from Venezuela. We will implement visual encounter, and automatic recorder surveys in nocturnal line-transects at their type locality, Cerro Socopó, which is a small and isolated mountain that represents a relict of non-protected cloud forest at central-west region of the country.

North african fire salamander
Beni Snassen's Fire Salamander was discovered in 2007 and is strictly localized on the Beni Snassen Massif (North-eastern Morocco). In this massif its habitat is threatened by habitat loss, due to severe overgrazing and deforestation. This species is very rare and it is possible that only few hundreds of adults remain in the wild. For this reason immediate conservation actions should be started.

Monte Iberia Dwarf frog
Five of the world smallest frogs live in Cuba, the largest island in the Caribbean sea. All these species are threatened, most are naturally restricted to small areas with pristine forests. Considering the scarce information on these frogs, this project aims to get updated information on distribution, abundance and status of Eleutherodactylus iberia, E. jaumei, E. cubanus, E. orientalis and E. limbatus.

This project is a baseline amphibian survey of 700 acres of second-growth forest in Patillas, Puerto Rico. The project site consists of two remote mountain valleys that have never been surveyed for amphibians.

Cerrobravo Frog
Cerrobravo frog is known only from the type locality at the volcano Cerrobravo of Tolima, on the eastern slope of the Cordillera Central, Colombia. This frog is critically endangered due to habitat destruction, restricted distribution and agricultural development. Therefore we propose to research about distribution and biology in order to suggest strategies for its conservation.

The Endangered Wildlife Trust's Cape Critical Rivers Project (CCR) is a ground-breaking initiative that aims to bridge biodiversity conservation with water resource management in the Cape Floristic Region (CFR), a global biodiversity hotspot in South Africa. The project aims to implement critical ecosystem and species-directed activities outlined in the Biodiversity Management Plan for the Endangered Clanwilliam Sandfish.

Curryfish
Tropical sea cucumbers are harvested for the "bêche-de-mer" product (dried body wall). Due to the severe lack of knowledge on the biology and ecology of many sea cucumbers, they are in a perilous state of conservation. Populations are rapidly declining worldwide, with over 70% of tropical sea cucumber fisheries deemed exploited and depleted. We wish to better understand their population dynamics and ecosystem function.
