Buchanania barberi (Anacardiaceae) is a Critically Endangered evergreen tree, endemic to the Southern Western Ghats of Kerala, India. The species is on the verge of extinction and remaining with two adult individuals. The project aims to develop baseline data, store seeds, germinate seeds, produce seedlings, their transplant and develop environment education campaign. The information generated will help to develop the conservation action plan.
