Du Toit's Torrent Frog

Petropedetes dutoiti is Critically Endangered, known from its type locality on the Kooitobos River in the northeast of Mount Elgon in Kenya; and a site along the Suam River dividing Kenya and Uganda at a base of Mount Elgon. Repeated surveys in and around the type locality have not been successful. This will be an extended survey to further determine the species current status.

Dahl's Toad-headed Turtle

The Carranchina tortoise conservation project increased its population by 250 individuals, trained 500 young Zenú in conservation, declared 32 km² as protected areas and monitored 12 tortoises via satellite. Through the dissemination and promotion of tourism, it managed to raise awareness among 200,000 people and increase local tourism by 10%, despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
