Red Siskin
The Red Siskin Initiative is an international group working to recover this Endangered bird endemic to northern South America. This project ensures the operations of the first Red Siskin Conservation Center during the difficult times imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic and the socioeconomic crisis in Venezuela. The Center secures birds rescued from trafficking and surrendered by breeders, to start captive breeding for reintroduction.
