The Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund has awarded $28,744,053 to 3049 conservation projects for all species types with all IUCN classifications throughout the world. Project managers that have decided to publish their projects, are illustrated on the map below.

Cuban solenodon

The Almiquí (Solenodoncubanus) is considered one of the jewels of the Cuban fauna, andthe most primitive mammals in the country. It is endemic to Cuba, is the only representative of the insectivore group. The species is categorized as Endangered on the IUCN Red List, threats which have caused this ranking are the accelerated process of habitat destructionand the proliferation of introduced predators.

Beautiful Forest Toad
