projects for all species types with all IUCN classifications throughout the world.

Cuban solenodon
The Almiquà (Solenodoncubanus) is considered one of the jewels of the Cuban fauna, andthe most primitive mammals in the country. It is endemic to Cuba, is the only representative of the insectivore group. The species is categorized as Endangered on the IUCN Red List, threats which have caused this ranking are the accelerated process of habitat destructionand the proliferation of introduced predators.
